2026 Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals

The CCA Board of Directors are excited to once again announce the

2026 Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals!

The Eastern Circuit Finals qualifiers will be determined by points awarded at the below listed Rodeos across Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals will take place at the Keystone Centre October 15th, 16th & 17th, 2026 in Brandon, MB.

1. Manitoba, SK – March 30, 31 & April 1 (*Barrels) 11. Brandon, MB – July 24, 25 & 26
2. Tisdale, SK – April 17 & 18 12. Whitewood, SK – August 14 & 15
3. Pilot Butte, SK – June 19, 20 & 21 13. Virden, MB – August 14, 15 & 16
4. Radville, SK – June 20 & 21 14. Arcola, SK – August 21 (*Roughstock*)
5. Gainsborough, SK – June 27 15. Wapella, SK – August 21 (*Roughstock*)
6. Carnduff, SK – July 4 & 5 16. Waywayseecappo, MB – September 5 & 6
7. Weyburn, SK – July 3 & 4 17. Rossburn, MB – September 4 & 5
8. Austin, MB – July 23, 24, 25 & 26 18. Ashern, MB – September 5 & 6
9. Brandon, MB – July 23 (*Roughstock*) 19. Beausejour, MB – September 12 & 13
10. Swan River, MB – July 24, 25 & 26

Ground Rules
*All rules will be based on the CCA rulebook and can be subject to review or revision by the board of directors as situations arise or incur involving the Eastern Circuit Finals*
  • Full Carded CCA contestants are eligible for the Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals.
  • Major event contestants must have competed at a minimum of 8 of the approved qualifying rodeos to be eligible for the Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals and must have their rodeo count in each qualifying event.
  • The CCA Novice Finals will take place in Brandon in conjunction with the Eastern Circuit Finals.
  • There will be no rodeo count for Junior and Novice events to qualify for the Eastern Circuit Finals.
  • *Points at Roughstock/special events will count toward Eastern Circuit standings but not towards rodeo count.
  • There will be an additional $10 fee applied to entry fees for ALL contestants entered at qualifying rodeos in 2026. 100 % of this additional fee will be put towards payouts and awards at the Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals in Brandon, MB October 15th, 16th & 17th, 2026.
  • Points will be awarded from 1st to 8th at each of the qualifying rodeos regardless of money added or placings paid. (1st= 80 points, 2nd=70, 3rd= 60, 4th= 50, 5th=40, 6th=30, 7th=20, 8th=10) If a rodeo has a short go/bonus round, points will only be awarded in the long round.
  • In the case of a team roper medical release/turn out, the remaining partner can pick up a member in good standings, but the rodeo count and points will not count to the Eastern Circuit Finals qualifications for the fill in partner.
  • Placings resulting in a tie at the qualifying rodeos will result in points being divided in the same manner as the payout for a tie at a CCA sanctioned rodeo.
  • The top 10 qualifiers in the major events (with their rodeo count) and top 6 in Junior events from the Eastern Circuit standings, will be invited to the Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals. (Based on points awarded)
  • The top 3 qualifiers in the Novice events from the CCA standings (Based on money won), and top 1 in the Novice events from the Eastern Circuit (Based on points awarded), that is not already qualified through CCA standings will be invited to the Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals.
  • All junior contestants that qualify for the Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals in an open event must upgrade their card by August 1st to be eligible to compete in that open event.
  • In the case of a tie for points for the last qualifying position to the Eastern Circuit Finals, the qualification will be awarded to the contestant with the highest money earnings in the regular CCA Standing in that event as of September 15th. Points will not be given to ground money.
  • If there is a tie after the Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals, there will be a 1 head ride/rope off for championship.
  • The Eastern Circuit Finals champion in the 8 major events will be invited to the CCA Finals Rodeo in North Battleford, SK – October 22nd, 23rd, 24th & 25th, 2026.
  • There will be no CCA Finals qualification awarded to the Junior events for 2026.
  • If Eastern Circuit Finals champion is already pre-qualified for the CCA Finals, it will roll down to the next place in the Eastern Circuit Finals for qualifying position.
  • Tentative rodeo approvals may be added to the qualifying rodeo schedule as they are received in the CCA office.
  • Money won at the 2026 Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals count towards the 2027 CCA Standings.
  • Novice contestants will compete for both the CCA Finals and Wheat City Cowtown Eastern Circuit Finals added money but only the Eastern Circuit Finals money won will count towards the 2027 CCA Standings.
  • Once a Finals Contestant has entered the Finals on the designated entry day (September 28th), he/she has until 4:00pm October 5th to do a straight turn out with no penalty. Straight turn outs after October 5th will result in a $500 fine.
